There is one application you will need to connect to the FLSERT / FLTAK server:  ATAK-Civ.  It is available on the Google Play store.  

Installation and Initial Setup

1. Install ATAK-Civ from the Google Play Store.

2. Secure, encrypted, connection to the server is handled with a username and password - provided during enrollment.  If partner organizations require access, they should go through enrollment as well.  

3. Once you complete the Enrollment Form and it is approved, you will receive an email with instructions to log into the FLTAK Portal (https://takportal.fltak2.cdrp.net). 

4. Log into https://takportal.fltak2.cdrp.net/

5. Select "Onboarding / Setup My Device" in the left menu.  

6. Click Android (Phone / Tablet)

7. Under Step 2: Enroll Your Device, click the "Open in App or Scan QR"

8. This will open a window with a QR Code and two buttons.

9. Open the camera on your Android device.

10. Point your camera at the QR code and select the notification to open the link. This will open ATAK on the device.

11. Select "Yes" to perform quick enrollment inside ATAK.

12. If you logged into the TAK Portal from the device you wish to enroll, click the "Open in App" button.

13. The first time you open ATAK, it will want to walk through a ‘wizard’ – you can safely cancel this process.

14. Click the overflow menu button in the upper right - it’s the last icon in the visible toolbar (three horizontal lines). This will open the full menu.

15. Scroll down and select "Settings".  

16. Click ‘My Callsign’.

17. Set your Callsign, Team, and Role using the information on the Callsigns page. Replace [USER] with your last name.

18. Click “Done”.

19. Tap the Android “BACK” button as many times as necessary to bring you back to the main ATAK screen.

20. Go back to the overflow menu in the upper right.

21. Open "Data Packages" (it looks like a disk icon).

22. Click the "Download" button (it's a rectangle with a downward arrow).  

23. Select the server: takserver.fltak2.cdrp.net

24. Select 2024_FL_TAK_Base_Maps from the available data packages.  

25. Your device will load several different base maps for use.  You can change your basemap by going to the Imagery icon (tri fold map) in the toolbar.
