There is one application you will need to connect to the FLSERT / FLTAK server: ATAK-Civ. It is available on the Google Play store.
Install ATAK-Civ from the Google Play Store.
Connection to the server is handled with a certificate package. These are the 'keys' to the server - do not distribute them outside of your organization. If partner organizations need access, they should go through enrollment.
Once you complete the Enrollment Form, it will be reviewed by an admin. You will receive an email with instructions and two links. One is the certificate for the FLTAK server, the second link is a base map package to provide a basic set of maps for use in ATAK. Download both of these files to your ATAK device. If you are unable to download directly to the device, you can share the downloaded files via email, SMS, etc. - but every device that will connect to FLTAK must have the .zip files. Contact support if you need assistance.
Open ATAK-Civ.
The first time you open ATAK, it will want to walk through a ‘wizard’ – you can safely cancel this process.
Once the app is loaded, click the overflow menu button in the upper right - it’s the last icon in the visible toolbar (three horizontal lines). This will open the full menu.
Open "Import". This will open a window with several options.
Select "Local SD"
You should navigate to the Download directory on the device and locate the certificate package you downloaded in Step 3. The certificate package filename will start with "FLTAK1_".
Select OK. If prompted, select "Copy". Your device will import the server settings and connect to the server.
